Dynamic Form Choices alternative
Dynamic Form Choices by Skyfield and Audeza Choice Sync do the same core job: choices from a Google Sheet, each with a limit, and only one file opened. The differences are price, what happens when something breaks, and whether the add-on writes to your sheet.

Free versus a 7-day trial
Dynamic Form Choices offers a 7-day free trial with every feature. A parent-teacher conference sign-up stays open for a week or two, so a trial can end while the form is still live. Audeza Choice Sync is free for 3 linked questions per form with no end date, and most sign-up forms need one.
Your sheet stays yours
Dynamic Form Choices writes a Taken column, and sometimes a Capacity column, next to your list. That's handy as a dashboard. It also means the add-on edits a sheet other people may use.
Audeza Choice Sync only reads. Put limits in any column you like, or set one default limit for every choice. The counts come from the form's responses on every sync.
When a sync breaks
Headers get renamed and columns get cleared. Audeza Choice Sync treats an empty result as an error, never as a new list: the question keeps its last good choices, the sidebar says what broke, and you get an email with a Fix link, at most once per question and error a day. If a header is renamed but the column still holds the choices, it follows the new name.
Where Dynamic Form Choices is ahead
It closes the whole form at a response limit or on a schedule, makes QR codes, and syncs when you open its sidebar. If you need those, it's a good add-on. Both add-ons share Google Forms' gap: two people who submit in the same moment can both get the last place.
Switch in five minutes
- Install Audeza Choice Sync, then open Add-ons (puzzle icon) > Audeza Choice Sync > Open in your form.
- Click Link, pick the question and the column with your choices, turn on the limit and pick the Capacity column for per-choice limits.
- Check the preview, save, and sync. Responses you already have count.
- Disconnect the question in Dynamic Form Choices so the two don't overwrite each other.

Questions
Does Audeza Choice Sync write into my sheet?
No. It only reads the column you pick. Counts come from the form's responses, so your sheet stays exactly as you keep it.
Can I use a list I already have?
Yes. Pick any spreadsheet in Google's file picker and any column. A formula column, like IMPORTRANGE, works too, because the add-on reads the values.
Is it free?
Free for 3 linked questions per form, with no trial clock and every feature on. Pro removes the limit for $49 a year or $6 a month.
Can it close the whole form?
No. When every choice is taken, the question shows one placeholder choice that you can edit. Use the form's own Accepting responses switch to close it.
