Google Forms choice add-ons compared
Two kinds of add-on fix the same gap in Google Forms. Some fill a question's choices from a Google Sheet. Others remove a choice once it's full. Audeza Choice Sync does both. Here's how it stacks up against the add-ons people usually try first.
| Add-on | Installs | Rating | Price | Choices from a sheet | Limit per choice | Drive access |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Audeza Choice Sync | 42 | No reviews yet | Free for 3 questions per form, Pro $49/yr | Yes | Yes, from a column | The picked spreadsheet only |
| Form Ranger | 50m+ | 3.6 | Free | Yes | With formulas | All Drive files |
| Choice Eliminator Lite | 9m+ | 2.8 | None listed | No | Reviewers say no | All Drive files |
| CAPY | 8m+ | 4.8 | Free trial, then paid | No | Yes, set in the add-on | All spreadsheets |
| Form Choice Limiter | 6m+ | 4.8 | Free trial, then paid | No | Yes, set in the add-on | All forms |
| Form Field Range | 216k+ | 4.7 | Free | Yes | With formulas | All Drive files |
| Dynamic Form Choices | 3k+ | 5.0 | 7-day trial, then paid | Yes | Yes, from a column | One spreadsheet |
Installs, ratings, prices and permissions come from each add-on's Google Workspace Marketplace listing on November 1, 2026. Google doesn't verify reviews. Choice Eliminator 2 is no longer in the Marketplace; see moving from Choice Eliminator 2.
How to choose
- You only need a list from a sheet, and your admin allows broad permissions. Form Ranger or Form Field Range are free.
- You need limits, and you set up the form once. CAPY and Form Choice Limiter are mature and well reviewed, but both are paid after a trial.
- You need limits that live in a sheet, with no trial clock. That's what we built Audeza Choice Sync for: time slots, conference sign-ups, workshop seats.
- Your school blocks add-ons with Drive-wide access. Pick one that opens a single file: Audeza Choice Sync or Dynamic Form Choices.
What none of them can do
Every add-on on this page runs inside Google Forms' rules, so a few limits apply to all of them:
- Google Forms doesn't lock a choice while someone is filling in the form. Two people who submit in the same moment can both get the last place.
- A question can hold at most 1,000 choices.
- A Forms add-on can't watch a spreadsheet for edits. Choices update after a response, on a schedule, or when you click a button.
We also wrote up a longer comparison of choice eliminators, with when to pick each one.
